Invisalign® is a revolutionary orthodontic treatment system that discreetly corrects a range of dental issues.
Invisalign® can be used to treat:
Clear aligners made of thermoplastic material are used to exert a gentle force that shifts the teeth into an aesthetically pleasing and better functioning position.
Your dentist will begin by conducting a thorough assessment before taking a digital scan of your teeth, gums and jaw.
They will then transfer the data from this scan to the manufacturer’s innovative ClinCheck® software, allowing your dentist to formulate a bespoke treatment plan and show you how your teeth might look once the process is complete
ClinCheck® also enables your dentist to send a digital impression to the Invisalign® laboratory, where your custom-made aligners are fabricated.
You wear your aligners for 20-22 hours a day over two weeks, only removing them to eat, brush and floss your teeth. Then, switch to the next aligner in the series and repeat the process.
Your dentist will monitor your progress with check-ups every 4 weeks.
The duration of your treatment will vary depending on the severity of your condition. On average, Invisalign® treatments take approximately 9-18 months to complete
Once the active phase of your treatment is complete, you will begin the retention phase. Wearing a retainer is the only way to ensure your teeth don’t relapse to their former position. Typically, you’ll wear your retainer full time for a short period and then transition to wearing it only when you sleep.
